NY Climate Tech: Oct 16 - Oct 23
Our next meetup and pitch night, local activism, carbon capture, AI, climate coloring books, waterfront tours, and over 30 other events this week
Hi friends,
We’re thrilled to announce our next two events: after a beautiful summer on Citizen M’s rooftop, we’re getting cozy in Brooklyn for the next official 🗽 NY Climate Tech October Meetup. Come find us next Tuesday the 24th at Randolph Beer in DUMBO!
Our November meetup will be just one week later, but this one’s a special edition: the first 🗽 NY Climate Tech Pitch Night will be on Thursday, November 2nd. We’ll be back in Manhattan at IndieBio—you’ll get to hear directly from some of our favorite startups about what they’re working on, hear about their job openings, and meet other founders, investors, and scientists. A huge thanks to our sponsors Arc, Goodwin Proctor, and SOSV, and Lisa Mallner and Edoardo Italia for organizing!
If you’re looking for another way to support Climate Tech in NYC, there’s no better way than showing your support for LL97! We’ve written about it in the past, but the short version is that LL97 is a world-leading building decarbonization law going into effect next year in NYC. While the city is making amazing progress, the DOB recently released rules that include a few loopholes that would hamper full implementation. Learn more at Tech for LL97 and in our Community Shoutouts section below
But there’s still the little matter of… everything else. Y’all, things are getting almost too busy in Climate Tech: there are 31 events this week alone.
Here’s a few of our picks:
