NY Climate Tech: June 12 - June 19
Orange skies and an incredibly diverse list of events to get involved this week
Hi friends,
I know that for a lot of us, seeing the orange skies in San Francisco was a catalyst for getting into climate. Now that the fires have come to New York, we can only hope that it will bring even more people together to make change happen.
For me personally, it’s been an incredibly different experience this time around—meeting all of you and working on climate has given me hope that despite the challenges ahead, we really can make a difference. It was a week of contrasts, despairing at the skies, but finding real inspiration in the hundreds of you coming out to work on climate.
Whether you’re feeling worried, overwhelmed, or fired up to take action, I encourage you to go to an event this week and go meet the others who are out there feeling the same. Building these local communities and personal connections really does make a difference. No matter what you’re interested in, there’s something for you this week—from sustainability in space to the Mermaid Parade. — Alec
