π Pickleball for the Planet
When: Monday, July 1 from 6:30 to 9:00 PM
Where: 830 5th Ave. New York City, NY
Join us on Monday, July 1st from 6:30-9 PM atΒ Wollman Rink NYCΒ in Central Park for GCF's Pickleball for the Planet! We're partnering with Wollman Rink and City Pickle for a night of pickleball fun in support ofΒ GCF's young climate leaders.Β Compete in a tournament for prizes or enjoy the games as a spectator! Since 2009, working at the intersection of environmental, economic and racial justice, GCF's mission has been to train young leaders to power a green and inclusive society through service. GCF works in close partnership with the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) - a city within a city, representing roughly 1 in 17 New Yorkers and primarily people of color - to engage 18-24 year old public housing and other low-income housing residents with high school diplomas and equivalents in full-time, 6-10 month AmeriCorps national service and workforce training terms (GCFβs Service Corps).
