NY Climate Tech: Jan 8 - Jan 15
Green drinks, catwalks, book clubs, flooding, film festivals, and our next meetup!
Hi friends and Happy New Year!
It’s been a busy holiday season for NY Climate Tech. Bloomberg has a writeup on how NYC Thrives as an Unlikely Silicon Valley of Climate Technology, and there are more than six thousand of you all subscribed and active in the climate community.
We’re excited to announce the January 🗽 NY Climate Tech Meetup in collaboration with the budding Climate Film Festival. We’ll be back in Manhattan on a (different!) hotel rooftop—they’ve assured me it’s heated, so get ready to talk climate, tech, cinema, and storytelling over warm drinks on the 31st.
This week is a little slow, but we’re back in gear in mid January, so here are some picks for the month:
On Tuesday the 16th, join The Carbonauts at Butcher’s Daughter for 🍹 The Carbonauts Sustainability Cocktail on Tuesday the 16th
Next Wednesday the 17th, join GreenHome NYC for their annual 🌱 Green Catwalk to hear from a lineup of NYC sustainability professionals.
Hear from environmental justice leaders at ⚖️ Centering Justice, an event at the New School on Thursday the 18th.
Head to Hunter College on Friday the 19th for 🌧️ Soggy City: Flooding in NYC
Finally, plan on the 🗽 NY Climate Tech X Climate Film Festival Meetup in Chelsea on Wednesday, January 31st.
As always, scroll down for the full list of upcoming events.
Cheers,
Alec, Sonam, and the Climate Tech Cities Team
