NY Climate Tech: Jan 12 - Jan 19
Green trivia, Brooklyn's Hour of Action, HAHApocalypse, and many more upcoming events
Hi friends,
A belated happy New Year! This week is relatively quiet, but scroll on down to upcoming events for more coming later this month.
There’s been a lot of news lately, but one piece that shouldn’t fall through the cracks is the success story of congestion pricing’s first year. Fewer cars, less pollution, and more revenue for public transit! A great reminder that local climate action makes a meaningful difference, and that what we achieve in NYC can be a model for cities around the country.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed this month, we’d encourage you to check out one of the upcoming events. In-person community is the best remedy, and it’s through these networks that we can support making progress towards a better world!
Here are our picks for the week
Tomorrow test your sustainability savvy at 🍏 Green Apple Trivia at Mercury Bar West and
Wednesday take 60 minutes to make a difference at the 🕣 Brooklyn Hour of Action at Threes Brewing in Gowanus
Saturday laugh it out at 😂 HAHApocalypse at Caveat in the LES
As always,
— Alec, Sonam, and the Climate Tech Cities team
