We’ll sign off with some big news from our friends at Orsted. South Fork Wind is officially delivering first power! ⚡ Located off the Long Island coast, the project is now generating electricity from its first turbine - it’s the first utility-scale offshore wind farm in US federal waters to begin providing offshore wind power to the grid. A total of 12 wind turbines are in order, and will be able to power 70,000 US homes. What a big milestone out in the horizon!

NextEra Energy Investments is holding a seed investment competition for pre-Series A companies focused on cybersecurity, data & AI, decarbonization and/or energy transition. Up to 10 winners can be selected to receive up to $500,000 in seed capital investment.
💸 Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance (Due Dec. 27)
The Lab is looking for innovative finance solutions that can unlock investment to tackle some of the most difficult climate and sustainable development challenges and investment opportunities for a net zero economy. Proposed sustainable finance vehicles should offer returns for private investors, create jobs and other local economic benefits, sustain biodiversity, improve climate resilience and/or decrease emissions.
