NY Climate Tech: August 20 - August 31
Our next meetup, carbon dioxide removal, sunset boat tours, the solar frontier, climate justice, and more upcoming events
Hi friends,
Our next 🗽 NY Climate Tech Meetup is on the books for Wednesday, Sept. 4th at The Globe Bar on 23rd St. Come join us after Labor Day as we ease back into a busy Fall. All are welcome!
Stay tuned tomorrow for an update to our Climate Week guide with nearly 300 (!) events, some top picks, and more curation.
One quick preview in case you missed it: our sister organization the Climate Film Festival just released its lineup and tickets.
Out of well over 300 submissions, CFF selected a slate of 59 boundary-pushing short-, episodic-, and feature-length films, 31 of which have never been shown publicly in NYC.
CFF has special opening night and closing night events, but the bulk of the program will take place on Saturday and Sunday at Firehouse Cinema: DCTV’s Cinema for Documentary Film (87 Lafayette St, just south of Canal).
Plan on back-to-back film programming, panels, coffee, snacks, and conversation all weekend long.
Check out the schedule and snag tickets here.
In the meantime, the city never sleeps! Here are our picks for the next couple weeks:
